The Presidents of LAVA and ESLAV would like to invite you to Dublin on September 7th for the 2nd joint meeting of our two societies. The last time that we held a meeting together was back in 2000, also in Ireland, and those
of you who attended will remember what a great success that event was. Your host on that occasion, Peter Nowlan, has kindly agreed to act as local organiser once more, so we have great confidence in another enjoyable and
instructive meeting.
The scientific programme is being finalised. The session topics will include:
* globalisation of laboratory animal medicine
* biosecurity of rodent imports
* technical developments within MRI
* bio-safety and hygiene when using imaging technology
* primate pathology
Planning for the social programme is also well advanced, and will include a Gala dinner and many opportunities to explore the night life of Dublin. As well as the networking opportunities that joint meetings offer, the
scientific sessions, workshops and social events will bring opinions and perspectives from a wider community than those seen at single society events.
